MTC News

Hey everyone, Thank you so much for your letters and such I'm so happy that you've kept in touch!!!

Thank you for the packages Mom and Dad and YPM Family! They made my day!! The MTC continues to be amazing! In fact I'm kinda sad I'll be leaving in less than a week.... However, things have been kinda crazy due to my companions shoulder problems. I think we have been spending more time at Doctor's offices and Physical therapy clinics than in the class room the past few days. I feel like I don't even know one of my teachers, Brother Fairclough, any more.... It is really hard also because he is having a rather hard time coping.

Last week my comp got the news that one of his best friends died in a plane crash and now he finds out he is getting delayed until probably after Christmas and he has to go through all of this silly medical stuff... He is just having an extremely hard time staying positive about it and it is almost like he wants to be mad and miserable. I work hard to try to keep him in good spirits, but as I have learned, when someone's attitude is in 'satan-land' it is hard for them to snap out of it. So the whole ordeal is wearing on both of us...

It is crazy to hear about what had been going on up in C-town!! National Guard, official state of emergency, and the canceling of Stake Conference!!!! I can hardly imagine!!! Phil Lemperle has been getting me little updates here and there, but still, I almost want to be there to help clear foliage! :) Dad said I may not recognize the place when I get back in two years.... I cant wait!!

Anywho, the work is still going well. :) it is the neatest thing to feel the spirit of the Lord speaking and testifying through you, and to watch investigators grow in testimony and faith. and yes, they aren't 'real' investigators, they are actors, but it is still so Joyful!! Speaking of Joy, the one rule around here I want to change is that we aren't allowed to listen to music.... I need to hear joy and invocation so bad! but obedience brings blessings! so I'm told ;)

I just realized I never even mentioned that I am singing in the MTC Chior!! I love it. and watching the special musical numbers at the devotionals, totes fab! I know that nothing touches the soul like music!!

Made a ton of friends here that I'm also going to miss so much. Like my district and I've grown way close with the district in our zone that is going to Thailand! One of them, our zone leader Elder Tzanis, is from Sydney and is freaking hilarious. I also ran into a sister that has been in the Nauvoo pageant a ton and now her district and myself and a couple others from my district are way tight. Speaking of Nauvoo, not a day, or even a few hours go by without me thinking and missing that beautiful place, that makes my heart to swell...

yup. so that’s about all the time I have for today, and sorry for not sending an email out last week, i had forgot my log on card and couldn't log on to send it, sooo..... yup..... I love you all and am SOOOO thankful for the wonderful impact you all have made in my life!!!

Sincerely Yours,

Elder Andy Harrison!
